RP will take place at the IMDEA Software Institute which is located in the Montegancedo Science and Technology Park about 10km from Madrid city centre.
Although IMDEA is well-connected with Madrid by public transport, we will provide an additional bus connection specifically for RP participants. We strongly recommend booking a hotel in the city centre of Madrid. The closer to the Moncloa metro station (line 3) the faster you will be able to reach the IMDEA Software Institute. (Note: this metro station is also served by line 6, but this line will be closed for maintenance during the conference.)
The easiest option to get to IMDEA is the "RP bus” leaving at 9:15AM Wednesday to Friday next to the Moncloa metro station as indicated in the above picture. The exact address is Paseo de Moret, 1. The RP bus will also return to the Moncloa metro station at the end of each conference day.
If you miss the RP bus, there is an alternative nearby: the intercity bus 865. Each trip costs 3€. The morning schedule for the 865 bus is as follows:
7:20 8:20 9:35 10:20
Please note that the 9:35 bus can be very crowded. Intercity busses accept debit cards and cash. Drivers will only provide changes for bills up to 5€. If you plan to use the 865 bus, we suggest purchasing a public transport card (tarjeta transporte público), available at most metro stations and at the airport. This card can be used for all public transport in the Madrid region. To ride the 865 bus, you will need to load the card with the "bonobus inter. A-B1” tickets, which cost 7.30€ for ten rides.
